PEAU de SOIE WEDDING GOWN, Example of one of the Wedding Gowns designed and made by Rosemary St. Clair. This particular gown has a straight skirt with heavy lace appliques with crystals and pearls. The puff in the sleeve and the lower arm have cut outs with organza, lace & pearls decorations, as does the train. The train is detachable and has three satin cabbage roses down the back. When the gown is bustled as in the photo on the right, then the three roses are in a cluster. Photos are not the best, especially the back view-I was in a hurry to get the pictures done before the gown left the studio. PLUM CIVIL WAR ERA 2PC ENSEMBLE, Burgundy and Plum Cotton skirt and jacket has removeable lace collar and bone cotton inner sleeves with lace and ribbon trim. Princess style lined jacket with peplum is constructed of two coordinating prints on a plum background. The contrasting front band has horizontal loop closures with small covered buttons and the oversleeve is lined with the large rose print. The overskirt is a dark burgundy cotton with silk roses and ribbons, allowing the underskirt of the plum rose pattern to show. This outfit is a sample of choices in designs. KIMONO KOAT, This original design can be worn many ways . This photo shows it buttoned at both shoulders and worn like a jacket. This garment has actual sleeves so it does not fall off the shoulders as a cape would. To see the other versions, click on the 'KIMONO KOAT VARIATIONS'. These flowing jackets are made in sheer prints, solids or rayon challis prints. They are hand wash and hang to dry-I call it 'Dip & Drip'. They basically fit all sizes, but can also be altered a little for those who need it.
